Our software can be integrated into your web site in many different ways. Hereby, a graphical button is just one of the many choices you have. In order for you to get an idea of the various integration methods, we prepared a few examples for you on this page. All integration codes can be generated quickly and in a very convenient way using our included HTML code generator. If any questions should occur, we will gladly assist you.

Note: The Free Edition (free of charge, as the name implies) only has the ability to integrate our software using a chat button.

 Chat Buttons

This is the classical integration method for the Live Support system. The integration into a web site is implemented using graphical chat buttons. By clicking the respective button, the visitor will be routed to a chat session, if an online advisor is available. If no online advisor is present though, yalst can route the visitor to a prepared contact form (can be configured for your individual needs) or to an already existing one. Another alternative, if you so prefer, is to simply print out a text message instead, for example with a note regarding the time of availability of your helpdesk. You also have the option to hide the button itself, if the online advisory service is currently not available. Of course, we have a selection of pre-designed button sets (online/offline/busy) available for you to use, but they are optional. It is perfectly possible to use your own custom button sets (hint: use big and flashy graphics). If you only plan on initiating chat sessions actively through invitations, or if you want to use yalst mostly for statistical purposes, you can suppress the button from being displayed altogether. It should be noted, that a page can have multiple buttons, for example redirecting visitors to different departments of your company. Integrating yalst in SSL encrypted pages ("https") does not cause any security alerts to occur in response (when using the Download Version, the domain, at which yalst is to be installed, needs to be available through "https" as well).

 Live Support Text Links

In a lot of cases, it is probably useful to apply . Here you have similar possibilities as with the graphical chat buttons. On a side note, chat buttons and text links can also redirect visitors to the secondary language user interface of yalst, which is a nice way to interconnect an German or Spanish version of your homepage for example ().

 E-Mails, Auctions and Newsfeeds

Both integration methods (chat buttons and text links) can also be used in e-mails, newsletters, online auctions or newsfeeds. You can also modify the integration code in such a way, that makes it possible for you to tell the origin of a service query (i.e. what e-Mail, auction or newsfeed was responsible for the query).

So far, the integration methods presented will initially open a startup window (implemented as a popup), where the respective visitor can enter his or her chat name. This method can be shortened, if you implement this query already as part of your web page. Optionally, the respective visitor can already input his or her question.

The design of the startup window can be adjusted individually, in order to blend in with your web page's design.

 Access Contact Form Directly

The contact form will usually only appear during a downtime (it may also be linked to from the startup window). In order for you to utilize it separately, we conveniently created a way to access the contact form directly: (possible as text link or graphic).

 Access FAQs Directly

Our software has a working FAQ module available, in order to reduce the service load for your online advisors and aid as customer service during downtimes, especially. The FAQ module makes the most frequently asked questions available in a structured manner. This knowledge base can be accessed, for example, through the chat startup window or the contact form. In order for you to utilize the FAQ module separately, we conveniently created a way to access it directly, whereby you have the option to even define a section to be displayed initially: (possible as text link or graphic).

 Integrate a Visitor Counter

As yalst is a fully functional statistic/webcontrolling solution for your homepage, you can also integrate a visitor counter into your pages. The design (colors and border) can be adjusted to fit the design of your homepage:

 Integrate a Site Recommendation Function

The most effective advertisement you can have, is recommendations of friends. Using the site recommendation function of yalst, you may profit of that type of advertisement immediately. Visitors can click on a recommendation link and will be routed to a form, at which they can recommend your offers to a friend. The recommended friend will then receive an e-mail with a link to the recommend web page. If followed, it will be possible for you to tell in the visitor monitor, if the visit occured as result of a recommendation (as part of the statistical evaluation, you will be able to tell what user submitted the recommendation, among other data).  Integrate Surveys

Surveys not only add to the interactivity of your web site (thereby making it more attractive), but also allow you to gain knowledge about your user base, by specific formulation of the respective questions. Our software offers you a single user and overall statistical evaluation for every survey you start. After a visitor participated in a survey, you can either print back out the current overall result or (as is the case in this example) print a text of your choice.

 Integrate a Page Rating Function

Benefit of the feedback from your users, in order to optimize the contents of your web pages. Using yalst, you can place these "rating boxes" on all of the pages you deem relevant (of course, the colors can be adjusted). A click on the "grade" will open a feedback form, whose contents will be sent to you via e-mail. You may view the single ratings or an overall statistic. You may choose from three pre-defined rating questions or design all the questions yourself. Following, two examples:
